Support from the Outreach Team at LIHH comes in many ways.

We aim to ensure that we listen to what you feel you need and then tailor our support to reflect this. If we can’t provide the kind of support you want we will tell you immediately and will find out who can. It might be that we can provide you with support for some things and another organisation can provide you with support in other areas.

We have a team of trained and professional outreach workers who have a great deal of experience of providing culturally sensitive support to Irish people in Leeds.

In the past we have provided support in a number of different ways to Irish people.

• Securing more suitable accommodation
• Securing the Irish pre-1953 State Pension
• Claiming and maximising people’s benefit entitlements
• Shopping
• Accompanying to GP or Hospital appointments
• Getting assessments for aids and adaptations
• Securing home care for people

This list is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of the type of work we do. If you feel you or someone you know could use our support please complete the referral form and we will get in touch.
