Diggin Deeper
Diggin Deeper is a report commissioned by Leeds Social Services using Health Action Zone funds looking at the barriers to accessing and social care for the Irish community. Launched in October 2002 it argued for increased outreach services for the Irish community to enable them to receive the culturally sensitive support that was needed.

Green White and Invisible
Green White and Invisible was written in 1997 alongside a local councillor Patrick Hennigan and called for services to be developed for older Irish people in Leeds

Commission for Racial Equality
The Commission for Racial Equality launched their first ever research into discrimination and the Irish community in 1997. The pdf is a short summary of the researches finding. For the full report please visit the the CRE’s website at http://www.cre.gov.uk




Leed Irish March 2008

LIHH recently took delivery of a new disabled access seventeen seater minibus thanks to grants from the Irish Government’s Díon Fund and Leeds City Council. Ant Hanlon, Chief Executive of LIHH said ‘we are extremely
grateful to our funders for making this venture possible. LIHH has recognised for some time the need to be
able to provide transport services for our clients to take them to groups and on outings.

A fascinating and engaging event was held in Leeds Civic Hall on a wet and miserable Sunday evening bringing
